The company operates a full-service facility with blast chambers, paint booths, and ovens - a turnkey capability difficult to replicate and with limited local competition.

The Situation

The owner approached Trailhead Partners several years before transacting as he began considering retirement. After working together to evaluate timing and readiness, he engaged us to run a full sale process.

The business presented a common challenge: significant owner involvement in daily operations. Finding a buyer with the right experience and commitment to navigate the transition was critical.

The Process

We contacted 150-200 strategic and financial buyers, generating 8 Indications of Interest over a 45-day marketing timeline. The ultimate buyer demonstrated commitment from first contact. When financing became a hurdle, we helped connect him with the right lender to get the deal closed.

The Outcome

The seller achieved a full exit to a local buyer well-positioned to continue the business. Total timeline from engagement to close: 9 months.
