I started Trailhead Partners because I saw a gap in the market that needed to be filled. Business owners in the lower middle market deserve the same quality of advisory services that larger companies receive - just at a scale and fee structure that makes sense for their business.

My Background

Before Trailhead, I founded TitleMade, a software company that digitized county records for oil and gas professionals. Building that company from scratch taught me what it really means to put everything on the line. Two years in, I successfully sold the business - an experience that shaped how I approach every client engagement today.

After TitleMade, I joined Dale Operating Company where I sold mineral assets to buyers across the country. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how buyers think, what they look for, and how to position assets to maximize value.

Why M&A Advisory

Having been on both sides of the table - as a seller who exited my own business and as someone who regularly worked with buyers - I understand the emotional and financial stakes involved in a transaction. When you're selling something you've built, it's personal. You need an advisor who gets that.

That's what drives my work at Trailhead. I'm not just trying to get deals done. I'm trying to help business owners navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives with the same care and diligence I brought to my own exit.

Outside the Office

When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me spending time with my wife and two sons in Dallas where we are active with our church, White Rock Fellowship, where we have been attending for over eight years. In my “spare time,” you’ll probably find me doing something sports-related where I try to convince myself that I’m still a decent athlete and haven’t lost a step (or two). My remaining free time is spent trying to figure out how Zach has time for all of his hobbies.
